We collaborated with Takween ICD to develop Terranera, a premium brand handcrafted in Esna, Upper Egypt. Our scope included the brand’s naming, visual identity, and packaging design, all crafted to reflect Terranera’s authentic origins and exceptional artisanal quality. Terra Nera is "the black soil” or "the black land” referring to “Kemet” the ancient name of Egypt during the Pharaohs. The name is derived from the colour of the rich and fertile black soil which was due to the annually occurring Nile inundation. Terranera products are handcrafted in Esna, Luxor in upper Egypt. Starting from planting, sun-drying, and packaging. Fun Fact: Did you know that Egypt is the second producer of sundried tomatoes worldwide behind Italy!
